I have a horrible memory. I'm bad with names, faces, song titles, pretty much everything. I thought it might be funny if I made a zine full of drawings of iconic cartoon characters from memory. So, I made a list of characters that I thought I knew well enough to get close. I drew a few and they were, as expected, pretty bad. Then, I asked the internet for suggestions of characters they would like to see me draw badly, without reference. I made a big list and every night, after work I sat down, picked a name, tried to remember what they look like, and started drawing. This zine contains a few of these drawings. I hope they bring you joy, or make you laugh, or get really angry that I have no idea what your favorite cartoon character looks like. The title of the zine comes from something my wife said and I never forgot. Thanks/sorry everyone - rico.
The plan is to have these printed at Newspaper Club (on newsprint!).
